A lot of the time, it looks like not a whole lot is going on here. A lot of the time there isn’t. I mean well, and try to do something (even something small) every day.. but sometimes I admit I just go weeks without anything at all.

However this week, though you may not immediately notice it, I have been doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff. The biggest project currently is getting all those pesky Imaginary Hunks of the Month posts back up. Right now I have about 4 out of the 136 done, so as you can tell I have some work cut out for me. Part of this was in the decision to change the old formatting. The original blog was set to a black background, so it had a lavender font which clashed horribly with the new color scheme. Also many of the original photos were outdated (esp. with many of the characters coming into the CG age) so I chose to ditch a lot of the old pictures in favor of some new “prettier” ones. In addition I have updated all entries to have up-to-date information as to the various media in which you can see them, so even though say Sephiroth was posted in 1998, it contains appearances in video games through his most recent incarnation in “Dissidia: Final Fantasy”.

The other major project lie in deciding on a final home for the Moldy Oldies Chat Logs. I REALLY disliked them as sub-pages – it made my sidebar menus excruciatingly long and hard to manage! So in the end I decided to make each of them their own HTML page which link off the main Chat Log sub-page. Using this combination proved to be much more aesthetic and manageable, and since the chats are more or less text based anyways – the HTML code minimalist and easy to peruse.

Finally in sifting through what to keep (and what to throw away – why am I such a virtual pack-rat?!) I think I’ve decided on at least a few more posts which should make their way (hopefully within the next few hours) to the new “Non-Sequitur” page.

In closing, a quick question to anyone who is reading who wished to answer: I have a bunch of old memes. I probably should just delete them. They’re difficult to maintain as they tend to go out of circulation, and to keep them updated I often have to host a lot of the images in-house to keep them active. On the other, I feel like it’s semi-related to my persona. The way I asnwer the memes says a lot about me particularly when referenced against the time period in which i take them (you can clearly see my persona graduate out of Goth and into my more current personality) so I feel like I should not only keep them but post them. But then again.. who really wants to read other people’s memes anyways? SO how about you vote? To meme or not to meme (keep in mind it will be hosted if I do it as it’s own category which means you won’t have to read them on the front page unless I take and post any new ones).?
